Andrew Smith October 09, 2012 • escherman / Training: PR. Social Media. SEO. Analytics. Digital Marketing.
Escherman's Andrew Smith will be presenting on the topic of measuring the value of social media at the CIPR's Share This Social Media Conference being held at Microsoft's London headquarters on Thursday, November 1st 2012.
There is a fantastic line up of speakers from a range of organisations including the BBC, Department of Environment, Department of Education, HSBC, Staffordshire Police and Third City.
Experts in various sectors will cover aspects of social media including the BBC's Director of Communications, Paul Mylrea FCIPR, who will be discussing how the BBC-managed Twitter during the recent Olympic Games; David Bailey from Staffordshire Police will present a case study on social media guidelines; Penny Fox & Elayne Phillips from Defra will be presenting a joint case study on integrating traditional and social media; and Metrica's Richard Bagnall as well as Marcus Gault from Precise will present the latest thinking on social media measurement. The keynote speaker will be Robin Pembrooke, Head of Online for ITV and Global Radio.
Further discussions and case studies will be presented around Networks & Platforms, Mobile and Location, and Understanding Social Media Analytics and Measurement.
Who should attend?
In previous years these conferences have attracted 150 - 200 senior PR and communications directors and managers from small and large commercial enterprises, in-house and consultancy, not-for-profit and public sector organisations and freelance practitioners from across the UK.
There has never been a more exciting time to work in the public relations profession, and, thanks to the internet, organisations are now able to engage with markets directly in two–way conversations. But there is a growing chasm between those individuals that have the skills and expertise to work in this new market and those that do not.
