I made use of the new group function in PeerIndex to curate it. 48 hours later, the list has been viewed nearly 4,000 times, and has seen people queuing up to be on it. Here is a brief timeline of how interest in the list developed.</h2><p>Storified by Andrew Bruce Smith · Thu, Oct 27 2011 17:16:43</p><div>Some time in the last week, <a href="

As a test last Monday evening, I decided to take PR Week's recently published list of Social Media Power Players and use this as the basis for creating a PeerIndex Group.</div><div>PR Week Power Players of Social Media UK - Andrew Bruce Smith - PeerIndexBased on original PR Week Power Players list + other worthies, PeerIndex - Understand your online social capital</div><div>It didn't take long for people to spot it...</div><div>@andismit @peerindex Loving your list:

About time we had sth like this. Chrislargeburrito</div><div>Chris Lee asked the following question: Do we actually learn anything from these lists?<div><br></div><div>All I can definitively say at the moment is that there is no doubt that PRs love a good list - and the people who are most sceptical about PeerIndex tend to be people whose ranking in the list is low or non-existent.</div></div><div>@andismit do we actually learn anything from these lists? is it a case of s/he who tweets loudest? If you haven't been included it is either because a) I didn't think you had a close enough connection to the world of UK PR b) I didn't see your RT - for some reason, Tweetdeck hasn't been great at capturing everything.
